Topic: Cost of Living, Free Prom Dresses School: McKinley High School Students: Jackylyn Oasay, Katherine Tu, Sitalia Akkin, Fiona Hu, Ariana Ash Hearts to Hangers addresses the financial barriers that prevent many high school students—especially girls—from attending prom. After discovering that the cost of a dress was out of reach for many, this group partnered with The Bella Project by Dress for Success Honolulu. Together, they collected over 160 prom dresses and hosted a giveaway event at McKinley High, ensuring that every student had the chance to feel confident and included on prom night. |  |
