The Pat Saiki Emerging Leaders Fund

The Pat Saiki Emerging Leaders Fund

The late Congresswoman Patricia “Pat” Saiki (1930–2026) spent six decades in public service to Hawaiʻi and the nation. A Hilo-born teacher who organized the state’s first teachers’ union, she went on to serve in the Hawaiʻi State House and Senate, in the U.S. House of Representatives, and as Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, opening doors for women and Asian Americans along the way.

Mrs. Saiki was a passionate champion of youth leadership and a cherished friend of CTL, and her example inspired countless young people to find their voices and step forward to serve.

At her family’s request, gifts made in her memory will support the Pat Saiki Emerging Leaders Fund, helping Hawaiʻi’s young people build the courage, character, and skills to serve their communities as she did.

We are grateful to the Saiki family for this honor, and to you for helping carry Pat’s legacy forward.
